Since its inception in 1985, Shinkendo Jujutsu Self Defense has stood as a beacon of authentic martial arts, rooted in the principles of self-discipline, respect, and practical self-defense techniques. This innovative initiative aims to spread the art of self-defense by offering a comprehensive online program, to aspiring instructors worldwide. Through this accessible and inclusive platform, we hope to empower individuals with the skills necessary to teach and propagate the true essence of Shinkendo Jujutsu, fostering a community dedicated to the pursuit of both physical and mental well-being. Together, we aspire to contribute to a world where the profound teachings of the martial arts transcend borders and enrich the lives of countless individual and dedicated practitioners from around the world will have the opportunity and resources to become remarkable instructors.
 

JuJutsu is frequently hailed as the mother of all martial arts. The current trend in JuJutsu appears to be shifting towards ground fighting, or 'newaza' as it is known, and it is often perceived as the most effective form of self-defense. However, this perspective is far from the truth. JuJutsu encompasses both stand-up and ground techniques, including weapons defense.

Through our  rigorous and highly-comprehensive program, prospective instructors are introduced to the teaching methodologies and training programs that have been developed and refined over 5 decades for the modern era.

Course Overview:

 Our course is structured into three levels, each offering a progression towards mastery:
 

1. Level 1 (White Belt to Orange Belt): This foundational level should be completed within four months of training. Participants will delve into the basics of ShinKenDo JuJutsu, learning 16 techniques of joint locks, chokes, and weapons defense, along with eight striking techniques utilizing fists, elbows, knees, and kicks.

2. Level 2 (Orange Belt to Blue Belt): This intermediate level must be completed within five months of training. Building upon the foundation of Level 1, participants will refine their techniques, gaining proficiency in advanced joint locks, chokes, and weapon defense. The striking techniques are expanded to enhance both speed and precision.

3. Level 3 (Blue Belt to Black Belt): The pinnacle of the course, Level 3, is designed to be completed within six months of training. Participants will attain the highest level of expertise in ShinKenDo JuJutsu, mastering intricate techniques that elevate their skills to Black Belt proficiency. This level emphasizes a deeper understanding of the art, including its philosophy and application in real-world scenarios.
    

Submission and Assessment:

To facilitate a thorough and personalized learning experience, participants are required to submit videos of their training for evaluation by our esteemed organization based in Japan. This evaluation process ensures that the techniques are executed with precision and adhere to the principles of ShinKenDo JuJutsu. This connection to our roots in Japan reinforces the authenticity and tradition that defines our martial art.

Martial Arts Tradition of Discipline, Respect, Integrity and Honour
Every certified instructor serves as an extension of the ShinKenDo JuJutsu tree and acts as a representative of JuJutsu. As a certified instructor, it is essential to embody discipline, integrity, and honor. You are required to be in good health, both mentally and physically, possess a strong character, and demonstrate a passionate commitment to assisting others in enriching their lives through martial arts disciplinary training.

Instructing Level 3
Teaching Shinkendo Jujutsu is a responsibility reserved for those who have attained a comprehensive understanding of the martial art, and this proficiency is acknowledged through the completion of the level 3 online course. Level 3 signifies a significant milestone in the Shinkendo Jujutsu curriculum, where practitioners delve into advanced techniques, intricate principles, and nuanced strategies. Only those who have successfully navigated through the preceding levels, demonstrating not only technical prowess but also a deep appreciation for the philosophical underpinnings of Shinkendo, are eligible to undertake the level 3 course. This advanced stage not only hones physical skills but also refines the instructor's ability to impart knowledge, instilling a profound sense of discipline and respect within the teaching paradigm.
